Since the establishment in 1981, Akva Waterbeds has developed unique waterbeds especially manufactured to meet the needs of the individual customer. Our mattresses are watertight 

Our water mattresses are made of laminated vinyl. This means that there are two sealed layers of vinyl, both of which need to be penetrated before a leak can occur. Read about our phthalate-free vinyl here.
In addition, tests from the German company Lanxess (former Bayer AG) document that Akva's water mattresses made of phthlatate free vinyl are more stable and durable than water mattresses made of traditional vinyl. This means that Akva's water mattresses have a longer life cycle, while also giving increased consideration to the environment.

Eco-Tex 100 label guarantees that the vinyl is free of harmful substances. 

Akva offers a 5-year guarantee on mattress welds. 

Using the latest technology, Akva has developed a unique heating system called Akva Vital. The heating element combines maximum comfort with minimum power consumption.
 

When the mattress has reached the desired temperature the heating system can be set on a 12-hour timer. After this, the heating can take place when most economical or when the bed is not in use. A built-in sensor keeps the chosen temperature constant.

The heating element is sealed with a water-proof vinyl and has a childproof power source and temperature regulator. Furthermore Akva Vital is TÜV-certified.
